How John and Carmen work
Carmen and John work together as a team. They write their books together,
prepare their seminars together, and design and carry out their corporate
interventions together. Their collaboration is exquisite and enormously
successful at creating innovative breakthroughs in the field of NLP.
In the public NLP training setting, John usually leads the morning,
framing the content through intellectual style description, metaphor and
NLP exercises. John has real presence and his style is warm and humorous.
Carmen takes the afternoon. Her style is warm, playful, challenging, creative
and very different to John. She makes the content come alive by creating
a playful and inquisitive context through exercises, games, and tasks
that your average NLPer may not expect and certainly will not have experienced
at other NLP seminars. John and Carmen are not average, they are masters
of their craft and experiencing them work together is like listening to
poetry read by two skilled artists, both creating something special in
you, the finale bringing you to a new place in the way you organise your
sensory experience.
What to expect at a seminar with Carmen and John
Carmen and John present NLP in the way it's designed to be presented
in this century. John is enormously proud of his co-creation of NLP, but
he is not stuck in 1975. Life has moved on and so has John Grinder, we
now have the brilliant New Code as a model to update the flaws of Bandler
and Grinder's work of the 1970s. John may well challenge your interpretation
of NLP, he may make statements that differ from the so-called mainstream
thinking in NLP. He does so as the co-creator of NLP who is radically
extending the field of his creation. Carmen may well challenge you, you
might get enormously playful, you may be mystified at a game or task,
but later when you review your learnings you will know you learned so
much about yourself and the states you accessed through Carmen's elicitation.
So when attending a seminar with Carmen Bostic
St Clair and John Grinder, suspend your expectations, enter a resourceful
state that includes a high tolerance of ambiguity, much of what you will
learn has never been presented before, it's new, it's exciting, it's creative.
Most of all expect to learn a lot, but not in the way of conventional
NLP seminars.
